Designing and making have always been a large part of my life. Since I was a child I have been curious about how things are made and you may often see me looking intrigued by the weirdest things.

I have been making jewellery for ten years. I gain a sense of achievement from the physical exertion and mental problem solving of jewellery making. I work with a large range of materials but silver and Perspex are my favorites. Silver is a remarkable material; it's appearance can change dramatically from a soft matt or satin finish to a high polish or shine. It can be flexible and manipulated easily or made hard and remain flat. Perspex can be opaque or translucent and the array of bright and vibrant colours is fantastic.

My jewellery creations are inspired by the world around me. I am often outside on bushwalks, in parks or just walking down the street. It is in these situations that I stumble across things which intrigue me. I see stunning red reeds, beautiful blooming cherry blossoms, or striking black bamboo plants. I take the essence to make my contemporary style jewellery.
